I launched www.TwentiesLife.com today. I've done little marketing or advertising, but through word of mouth I expect to get decent traction.

Any critiques/criticism? I'm open to any suggestions, as you guys have always given great advice!

At a quick glance, it looks like a watch sales site.

yeah I do need to change to subscribe font. I'll look into that.

I hate the pop-up, but I love everything else the toolbar does. I wish I could take that shit off! If I get too many more complaints like that, I might have to remove the toolbar entirely.

+1 on the popup. Not feeling the green and the size of the footer but like everything else

Yeah I've seen that toolbar/popup on other sites, can't find any way to disable it?

Not that I'm aware of. I searched, but I think most of the coding is hosted via the application's website, not locally. I'll keep looking though.

I hate those fucking toolbars. The idea of a hovering nav bar is ok, but those toolbars just remind me of ow.ly etc and make me want to hurt people

Design is ok. Fits the niche I guess. The red/green/blue's are a little too "united colors of benetton" for me.. just since they're so bright.

So i guess the general consensus is that the toolbar sucks?!

I'll have to figure out another solution for the tools it incorporates.

overall great work man, need to clean up the design just a little though so it doesn't look too crowded and crazy.

opt in list for the email. offer some bullshit about the 20 biggest lies about 20/how to fail an interview or something that we assume, and question it.

even if you did have one, i didnt find it easily enough, so you need to make it stand out more.

    1. That pop-up shit is so weak. All you're doing is focusing the attention of the user at the tool bar and not your content. No one is going to give a fuck that you have a toolbar at the bottom. Dump that thing.

    2. All of the images next to your story names look the same. Try getting something more like photos there.. or at least get rid of the white backgrounds in all of them.

    3. Maybe try to reduce the colors you're using for links/headers/etc. Right now I see blue, black, red, green

    4. The tags/categories probably don't need to have a background red color. It just draws your eye to them and not the actual stories (see point #2 above)

Looks like you've done a lot right... but those are the things i noticed that made it seem not quite 100%

Looks good (great design work you have done) but the feedback and pop-up thing are very annoying to browse with and I left after about two clicks.
