Every folding knife is about to be under the class of switchblade and deemed illegal in the US.

"The U.S. Government is after your Pocket Knives! In a sneak attack, U.S. Customs has proposed revoking earlier rulings that assisted opening knives are not switchblades. The proposal would not only outlaw assisted opening knives, its overly broad new definition of a switchblade would also include all one-handed opening knives and most other pocket knives!"

Agreed. It's as normal as putting my wallet in my pocket, or having my car keys. I won't be handing mine over.

just as a side note ya'll need to check out the Emerson series of knives with their "Wave" feature.

Faster than even fully automatic knives. Not particularly banable either.

Irregardless, this current issue needs to be fought. Give an inch, they'll take a mile

I don't risk carrying illegal knives, when even the legal ones can get you in trouble with paranoid sheeple or power tripping LEO.

Do you all realize it is an administrative agency doing this?

Ever heard of invalid exercise of delegated legislative authority?

I'm seriously considering going into administrative law...

i really can't see this being passed, this law pretty much trying to make box cutters illegal. The folding knives are also essential tools for every day tasks. Now maybe i can agree to a law were you must carry a minimum size but to ban every folder.... its not gonna happen.

This is not a law. This is a rule change.

I think he meant carrying "illegal" knives. Do active military get less restriction?

I would assume no, but that's just a guess.

I, along with thousands of other mechanics, construction workers, electricians, and other jobs I cant think of at the moment, use knives on a daily basis. I really hope this doesnt pass.
