It is a sobering thought to have a shotgun that has the same capacity as my carry gun :mamoru:

Overengineered, the mag spring would compress for 10.5 maaaaybe 11 if you lopped a coil or so.

Someone's frankenmagged a 16 rounder :eek3: Dinzag's got melding two 5 rounder's together down to a science... lot of effort's been put into getting these mags created, in one form or another.

Nice gun. i'm guessin the targets are in the background? What range and what size choke comes in a saiga, and are they interchangeable?

Targets in the background are the girlfriends excursion with an XD 45, before I bought her a 1911. SAIGA targets rarely leave the range with enough paper to tape to the wall :mamoru:

Edit: I know shit about the choke, I'll have to ask Top.

btw, you just running 2.75 through it? I couldn't find anything that said the mags wouldn't run 3", but after shooting a whole mag of 3" through it, I'm sticking with the 2.75

I'm pretty sure that the 3" shells are a tad larger than the 76mm, which is causing your feeding issues, but I can't remember where I read it. I stick to 2.75, yeah, usually because it's cheaper. :o

If she's using the handgun for the zombies, I'll shoot her myself. SAIGA's mine, she'll be backing me up with this:

    :o

After looking up some of the parts I need and bits I have to buy, I gotta say, Tony's labor is crazy reasonable. He could be charging a shit ton more. I'll still probably do it myself, with Cobra's help, though. I don't recall needing a drill press, though.. you mean for finishing the rivets?

yeah. you dont even need a drill press, just a drill and a steady hand.

OR, they make an all russian pistol grip/folding stock that slips right in, no us parts needed i think... i have seen them on gunbroker.

How's that? The biggest part of the conversion is moving the trigger assembly forward, bringing back that natural AK weight balance. Does it just clamp on behind the existing trigger?
