Can anyone tell me how difficult it would be to put a rotary into a 93' Miata?

I have the engine but would like to know what I am getting myself into.

its been done plenty of times, but its far from easy.

are you going to attempt it yourself, or have a workshop do it for you?

I have my own garage. With the tools needed but I am trying to do research before I attempt it.

when you say tools, does that include a welder? be ready for custom engine & gearbox mounts / crossmember (IIRC)

what about the wiring & computer? can you do that yourself too?

have you done a custom engine conversion before? its hard enough with a drop-in upgrade, let alone a swap like this...

There is some company in Australia that basically does just that -- can anyone else remember the name of it? Try a google search..

    you talking about Bullet Engineering?

They used to do a custom fitted 13BT into NA6C's, but they now only fit Toyota 1UZ-FE 4.0L V8's... :eek3: (you should see the supercharged ones!!!)

theres a heap of rotary powered MX-5's (Miatas) here in Australia... theres a few workshops around the country that have done the conversion, but im not sure if anyone markets a conversion kit as such...

what about somewhere like Racing Beat? do they know anywhere in the US where you could pick up a conversion kit? theres got to be one available somewhere... :dunno:
