MMA favorite tutorials on opening/passing the full guard?

    I've been using variations of this shit with a lot of success lately:

    I rarely ever stand up the way he does it. I find once you have their arm behind their back like that it's pretty easy to push down on the knee long enough to slip your opposite knee in and move to side.

    do you guys understand why marcelo lifts the other guy up? It seems like you could just stand up and start pushing on the knee

    nice. ill probably get myself into trouble the first few times i try that. im sure itll be hard as hell to hold onto that hand/wrist in nogi.

    No, I don't see a point to that. Maybe there's something to it but I use it without standing because it works. Holding the person up would take more energy too.
    It's not. Once you get their arm back past a certain point it's very easy to control it and very hard for them to move.

    this is a tough pass. hard to force someones arm behind their back that way if theyre near the same skill level as you.

    Too difficult IMO. Good for mma tho. Was thinking about playing around with it a little more with the gi.
