First, none of what you listed is either Techno or Trance. You are using techno as a general term for all electronic music. Techno is a very specific genre of the electronic music as is Trance. Both are genres of electronic music. Here are some recommendations of some real Electronic music artist. Chemical Brothers is the only thing you listed that isnt complete crap.

    Trance:

    Paul Van Dyk
    Sasha and Digweed
    Pleasurehead

Sorry, I dont listen to much trance so that is all I got.

    Techno:

    Derrick May
    Marco Carola
    Dave Angel
Adam Jay - free live PA sets on his website - www.djadamjay.com
    Dj Shiva
Richie Hawtin - best in the business

    House:

    Deep Dish
    Derrick Carter
    Jacob London
    Mark Farina
    Pat Nice

There is some recommendations. Let me know how you like them and I can list some more. Just please stop calling all electronic music techno.

    Tiesto
    AVB
    Christopher Lawrence
    Judge Jules
    DJ Skin
    ATB
    Paul Oakenfold
    4 Strings
    Robert Miles

These are the ones off the top of my head in no particular order.

Tiesto is for people that dont know any better. Tiesto is mainstream crap and Oakenfold is even worse.

^^^What do you mean by hold their own? Have you ever seen Oakenfold live? He trainwrecks more than any professional DJ I have ever seen. I heard him trainwreck so bad that they had to cut the sound out. He cant spin for shit. Most of his production that he puts his name on is produced by other people. Oakenfold is just a name, that is all he is good for. He has little to no talent.

As far as Tiesto, he has some alright stuff and I have never seen him live but their is far better music out their than that. I dont know anyone that actually knows anything about real electronic music that would pay for his stuff when they know better.

This guy thinks Trance is good so I wanted to suggest some lighter stuff before going on to Jungle or Breaks. I dont know if he could handle it.

Nice, Evol Intent has been out here in KC a lot recently. The Enemy has been here alone even more. They are impressive live. I have seen Meat Katie and Dave London as well, they are good DJs. I have never heard of John B? Who is that?

I actually drove from here in st. louis to KC see Evol Intent the last 2 times any of them were in KC. Knick and Gigantor at the Beserker party and the Enemy at the Another Late Night party.

As for John B he is an Electro/DnB badass

I've driven as far as Wisconsin in order to actually see the three of them all at the same time. Mike and Aj are pretty good dj's, nick seems more like the poster boy though with some of his "throw it in a rewind and then drop the next track" mixes. Where the guys really stand out imo is their production, though, which i'm sure most everyone will agree.
