Looks like we'll be heading to Charleston next!

We were in Norfolk, and he's in Japan right now...I'm SO excited about SC! I LOVE Charleston! I pretty much hated Virginia though...

Where have you been? And what's been your favorite so far?

San Diego was hands down the best area...just cost of living sucks balls. St Louis was good, as long as you lived in a good area...and I actually don't mind Ft. Campbell to much (Clarksville, Tn area), relatively close to Nashville, which is always a good time.

Well, considering I've only been to Pope and Little Rock, I guess I'll have to go with Little Rock, it sucks marginally less than Pope did.

LOL I don't know how "nice" Naval stations are, but I'm assuming that since they are all on the coast, they can't be too bad :)

Every active duty base I've ever served on is now closed, with the exception of basic training bases and Camp Liberty, Iraq.

    Favorite: Lowry AFB, Denver, Colorado.
Second: RAF Bentwaters/RAF Woodbridge twin base complex, Suffolk County, England.

Favorite as a Navy brat: Naples
    Second: NAS Kingsville, Texas

I have no active duty bases for the Army, other than Ft Knox :noes: and Camp Liberty (and a dozen or so JSS/COPs around the Baghdad area). Although my two weeks at Anaconda/Balad were like heaven compared to anywhere else in Iraq I've been. Indoor swimming pool, base theater, sidewalks and paved roads everywhere... Almost like being on in-country R&R!

Every army post that I have lived on has rode dick, so I'm not going to give any credit to them.

NAS Jax, the place where I grew up, is probably my favorite post. The post itself is decent and the surrounding area is great.
