    You'd be surprised. I loved buffing up my base with turrets and stuff just for the enemy to rape me with technicals and apaches. (C&C Generals) :mad:

    Generals was kindof shitty though.:hsd: but yeah I hated defending against air attacks. I'd make a huge base and a huge army and then the fucking koreans would come and bomb me with their jets. but when I tried to fight against other NPCs with air attacks i never do enough damage to destroy a single building:madfawk:

    That actually reminds me...In Red Alert 2 I played a ranked match against one of my friends who LOVED to attack with jets so I built a shit load of flak troops and flak tanks and then attacked with apocalypse tanks and he didn't build any ground defenses so i totally raped him:bowdown:

    fuck I forgot about AoE2:bowdown:

    I tried Tiberium Wars...EA somehow managed to make the game crash on my computer on any graphics setting except low:mad: (my computer could support high graphics at 60fps so there shouldn't have been a problem). Also everything seemed too out of proportion and looked too cartoony. Red Alert 2 was a happy medium between being colorful and realistic:hs:

    The one that had the biggest impact on me was Command and Conquer Red Alert.

    The one I have had the most fun with was Command and Conquer Red Alert 2

    The one that I played online the most was Command and Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars

    The one I hated the most (mainly because I suck at it) Star Craft :o

    All C&C titles are good
    Rise of Nations
    Rise of Legends
    All of the Age of Empires games
    Warcraft titles.

    btw your picture of RA2 is either of the Beta or of a MOD

    Turrets (unless those are the pill boxes) did not look like that (let alone were not in the game)
    Mammoth tanks were not in the game (Apocalypse tanks were)
    You couldn't go through tunnels on the maps like you could in Tiberian Sun
    Gap Generator was more detailed
    Allies did not have the War Miner. They had the Chrono Miner
    HoverTransports looked different and were bigger
    Radar satellites didn't have the 2 small dishes pointing out the side
    Allied War factory was more rounded with glass roof
    Nuke Power Plant didnt have the ball tower ont he top of it I dont think.
    and the Soviet Tech Center was more Kremlin looking. that one looks more like the Allied Tech Center, just pointy, the allied tech center was rounded...

    All this from memory :o

    Yeah I just tried to find the one that had the most action going on in it. Most of that stuff was in there, you just had to use a map maker to access it and put it in. I believe tunnels were possible if you made them connect somehow (I'm pretty sure I've seen it done). And as for the Allies having the war miner, they probably captured a soviet building:dunno:

    If you used the 3rd party map maker/modder you could create new buildings/units from old ones that had different abilities. You could also make a building have cloaking ability like in Tiberian Sun and set how big the radius was :bowdown:

    screw that I used to do all that manually from INI editing, create the INI's hwo you want them, import them into the map.mix file you made and poof modded map 10,000 credits on 1 ore dump, GI's cost 100, all "special units" available for all sides of same faction, added new IFV abilities.

    example

    [CCOMAND] ;Allies get Allied tech center
    UIName=Name:CCOMAND
    Name=Chrono Commando = name in game
    Category=Soldier = type of unit
    Prerequisite=GAPILE = what was needed to train him
    RequiresStolenAlliedTech=yes = did you need to get a spy into the tech center
    Primary=ChronoMP5 = main weapon
    Secondary=FakeC4 ; otherwise he can teleport into a building and kill it before he unwarps. = secondary weapon
    ;C4=yes
    CrushSound=InfantrySquish = sound when crushed
    Crushable=no = is he crushable
    TiberiumProof=yes = hurt by tiberium (yes... that programming is in here cause all ore is, is modifies tiberium and you can make the units get hurt from it
    Strength=100 = hit points
    Armor=none = any armor
    TechLevel=9 = for those tech level matches
    Pip=red = no idea
    Sight=8 = how far he see's
    Speed=5 = how fast... wtf he teleports but yea how fast theymove
    Owner=British,French,Germans,Americans,Alliance = factions who own them
    AllowedToStartInMultiplayer=no = can he be one of the starting units
    Cost=2000 = credits to make
    Soylent=1000 = yuri grinder
    Points=50 = points at the end of round you get for killing him
    IsSelectableCombatant=yes = can you select him
    VoiceSelect=ChronoCommandoSelect = voice
    VoiceMove=ChronoCommandoMove = voice
    VoiceAttack=ChronoCommandoAttackCommand = voice
    VoiceFeedback=
    VoiceSpecialAttack=ChronoCommandoSpecialAttack = voice
    DieSound=SealDie = self explanatory
    CreateSound=ChronoCommandoCreated = self explanatory
    ChronoInSound=ChronoLegionTeleport = self explanatory
    ChronoOutSound=ChronoLegionTeleport = again
    Locomotor={4A582747-9839-11d1-B709-00A024DDAFD1} = the teleporter code
    ;Locomotor={4A582744-9839-11d1-B709-00A024DDAFD1}; <-Walk teleport->{4A582747-9839-11d1-B709-00A024DDAFD1}
    Teleporter=yes = again yes or no
    PhysicalSize=1 = size ont he map
    MovementZone=Infantry = way it moves
    ThreatPosed=25 ; This value MUST be 0 for all building addons = think of it like aggro in WoW. higher the threat, the farther away units will be drawn to it to try and kill it
    SpecialThreatValue=1 = no idea
    ImmuneToVeins=yes = no viens in the game
    VeteranAbilities=STRONGER,FIREPOWER,ROF,SIGHT,FASTER = what happends when he levels up
    EliteAbilities=SELF_HEAL,STRONGER,FIREPOWER,ROF = again just level 2
    ElitePrimary=ChronoMP5E = weapon at level 2 elite status
    PreventAttackMove=yes = self explanitory
    MoveToShroud=no = can only move where they is no fog of war
    IFVMode=4 = what toes it turn the IFV into

    I've only ever modded via .ini in Freelancer. It's too bad the days of modding are coming to an end thanks to console gaming. The next generation of consoles are probably going to be the final nail in the coffin:wtc:

    Yeah, first thing the pros do on a match is send a scout and build up a technical and a normal tank.

    Then they would keep nagging you, and build a ton of technicals and tanks and try to destroy your base.

    Pros never build actual defenses till very late in the game.

    Basically the type of stuff I'd do on Freelancer:rofl:

    In freelancer there were cloaking generators and people would mod the game to get them in multiplayer, but then they made ways to detect if you got them and if you put them in the ship. So I put the ability on a weapon that already existed, and had an asteroid field drop those weapons instead of ore and tractored it in with my ship and they couldn't detect it that way:bowdown:

    I recently put Space Hulk Blood Angels on my PSP and have been having a lot of fun with it. Years later it's still a lot of fun, mixed RTS and FPS. Can scare the shit out of you too when the genestealers start swarming and your guys are starting to get overrun.
