    Street Fighter II turbo for SNES. It doesn't get any better.

    ^ yes mortal kombat was dope, but I never actually owned it myself and therefore was more exposed to SF :wtc: I was always jealous of my friends when I played it at their house though.

    I love all the Fight Night games. Its fun if you turn on elbows and knees :bigthumb:

    I never could get into any Mortal Kombat type games :o

    However I'm a HUGE fan of Street Fighter II :coold:

    Because it's a little more realistic than the other games out there.. They even have submissions in it, although they dont end the fight... And, some of the characters are very unique, yet useable at the same time. For example, shun has to drink to get stronger, and unlock more techniques.. and it's just cool how you have to make him drink in the middle of the fight. And the game definitely does not reward button mashing

    in fight night 3 you can turn OFF illegal blows.

    Then you can use headbutts, elbows, knees, ball shots--or as I like to call them, the technical cock-out :o

    There was one of the WWF games were you could create a MMA style fighter, with takedowns and strikes... it was possibly WWF No Mercy or WM2000.
