Dude I don't think that's realistic at all to call out Gogz and Maine to compete in such a demanding cardiovascular event.
That's like almost 15 meters of actual movement and cardio.
Aint nobody swimmin through a street
yea...looks a bit odd...
Imagine how they feel when they get there and they find out it's in miles.
Its clearly meters idiot no one would ever suggest that a real man run for an extended period of time, let alone miles.
oh, it is in miles
im htinking about doing this but i get tired after a 45m incline WALK...so fail is the only thing im seeing
This is similar to the one i just did, If i was in florida i'd do it The one I did is the UCLA triathlon, www.ironbruin.com
how was it?
i really want to try it...sounds like a great accomplishment but i lack endurance and i dont have all that crazy triathlon gear (bike, weird singlet looking thing, etc)
the ad was posted less than a month away from the event, wtf kind of super training are they expecting from noobs?
It's only sprint distance. Probably finish in less then 2 hours.
edit: at a slow pace
edit 2: really slow
i'm gonna try it out this weekend..."practice" i guess
Well i would love to do this one day, too bad i can't swim
have you ever done one? i know you bike a crap load...
I'm actually planning on doing it
serious? have you been training for it?
yeah... gassed up the boat and jeep. yall are fucked
you'd totally win first place bro!
sprint tri's are the most fun and dynamic tri imo just due to the fact that you can just about literally sprint/strive to sprint all 3 of those distances
i have yet to reach my individual pr in each separate event in a tri (and who knows if i ever will - year of hiatus ftl) but that's what keeps me wanting to return to training
do you think 3 weeks is enough to train for those events or is it too "short notice"?
it's really not as intimidating as a lot of people make it out to be, as long as you can already do all 3 with some degree of proficiency you'll finish for sure
at this point you don't even need to worry about training transitions, things like having your cycling shoes clipped into your pedals already and just strapping in, junk like that. you don't even need any special gear, just grab a speedo, toss cycling shorts on top of those for cycling and have a blast!
