You can't really spot reduce fat even if you have "strong ass" legs/thighs.

I remember when I would strictly leg press. I would do something along the lines of:

    400lb x 12-15 reps
    450lb x 10-12 reps
    500lb x 8-10 reps

I thought I was such hot shit, then I started squatting. I figured I'd be able to squat at least 300lb...I'm really happy I decided to start light to get the form down. I squatted 95lb for 3 sets of 10 the first day and I could barely walk the next 2 or 3 days. It was a few weeks before I started going up in weight

It depends a lot on the individual leg press. My best raw squat was 585x2 and 635x1 in wraps but on a Hammer Strength Leg presss I could rep out 900-1000lbs with a decent ROM.

that is an incorrect, though rather widely held impression.

actually even exercise, over a significant time does cause spot reduction of fat. the original studies, which people actually use to support the argument against exercise induced spot reduction, found that there was spot utilization. They merely questioned its significance with respect to short term losses.

in the case of estrogen suppression and/or ALPHA 2 receptor blocking, this is more about restoring normal utilization of fatty acids from those pockets of "stubborn fat". they are stubborn (resistant to lipolysis ("fat burning")) because of estrogenic influence (though progesterone and progestins do also play a role) which upregulates (as well as directly agonizes) the alpha2 receptor. the alpha2 acts as a negative feedback loop for norepinephrine production. Thus utilization of those fatty acids as well as blood flow are generally poor to those areas.

another widely held, and also incorrect assumption/impression is that gyno can only be treated/removed by surgery.

as a note- fat loss is more about calories in and calories out. So while training style and volume (as well as various metabolic manipulation- in this case Alpha2 blocking and possibly aromatase inhibition) are factors in fat loss and deposition (for that matter). if you are eating more calories than you use, you will likely see little fat loss (there are exceptions to this, though generally calorie surplus=little or no fat loss)
