    fucking :werd:

    this doesn't touch the 11-16 2.8.

Not only is it slower, but all tests confirm that the Tokina is the SHARPEST ultra wide on the market right now, by a wide fucking margin. Until test shots come out to show this thing is actually an ultra wide electron microscope, your post is invalid.

also, please define your use of the word 'fastest'

considering you mentioned a lens that's faster in the same post you proclaimed this the 'fastest'.

HSM = hypersonic motor or something, means it has a focus motor in the lens itself. so it would autofocus on a d40/d60 etc

    no, you're right. the 14-24 > the 11-16.

    but $550 > $1500....

I wonder how close they actually are...

no idea what USM is, but like was stated, the HSM lenses have the AF motor built in.

yeah, i put in my emailer for that lens a few days ago, i would liek a fish, but i think i will get much more use out of the 11-16. and i already have the nikon 18-70 3.5/4.5

so the 11-16 2.8 would fit in better for my bag o crap.
