I need a super fast laptop for video and music editing. I'm going to get a alienware computer, but which processor is the fastest?

    Core 2 Duo

    AMD Turion

    Pentium 4

    ????

    Please Help..

I don' know too much about this, but I would think that you'd be better off with a desktop machine for those purposes.

    Centrino. :squint:

If you're going to do music editing and video editing... get a desktop please.

And instead of getting Alienware, build your own with the same money. You'll have a machine thats far more capable of satisfying you than the overpriced machine.

At the moment... I'll have to say Core 2 Duo.

Core 2 Duo are currently the best options for a processor. However before you rush off to buy I think you would be better either posting here or in offtopic (lots of professionals read there, but not here) and explaining what software you will be running and what other features you need in a laptop.
