So I shoot some random local fashion shows sometimes.. This time there were a bunch of different photographers there, and I knew all of the pictures would all be looking pretty close.. So I decided to do something a little different..

    Normal shots:

Then I started dragging the shutter and having some fun with my flash:

The first two look like she was walking on a bar and you pulled out your P&S, the others look ridiculous.

It was not a gucci fashion show on a giant NYC runway or something.. Was a few small local clothing shops around town showing off some of their new stuff at a club/lounge basically.

    Your experiment is interesting

I don't know about the location, but getting rid of the people in the background would help a lot.

Where's the exif data gone also?

    It was ashamed.
Seriously, how long were the exposure when you were using second curtain sync? Its a neat effect sometimes but I think you may have gone a little overboard with it there.

Also, I think youre in a VERY hard place to photograph. You have unattractive and distracting backgrounds no matter where you look. Ugly ceiling, ugly walls, and people not even looking at the models. Nothing you can do about it though...just sucks.

I agree with what others have said and that normal are better then the shutter drags but you've done alright with the first two as I can just imagine how much of a bitch it was to shoot. Perhaps compare your work with the other togs and see how they took advantage of the poor conditions and take note?

What's with the chick sitting back watching with her sunglasses on inside? Fool.

meh, your safe shots aren't interesting, and your experimental shots were just that, experiments.
