Yeah the problem is most people just dont have access to farmers walk handles. Sure you can do them with dumbells but most gyms dont have DB's heavy enough.

I doubt most people at a gym would be able to walk 10ft while holding the 150lb BDs

there are many variants. and try walking 100-200ft with the 100's you will find that the gym generally has heavy enough weights for most everyone. Even the 60's can be brutally heavy for any significant distance.

Doing one side at a time is also great for enhancing spine stability.

    yes they do. so?

besides nothing says you have to walk back and forth, just carry them like you are going somewhere to use them. then carry them back like your done now. see, nothing strange about that :)

Who is going to look at you, the fat out of shape women lifting 5lb DBs or the old men standing around doing nothing?

i'm gonna use those big buckets n fill them with cement. i've been meaning to add them to my routine for a while now

rather than using a flimsy wire bucket handle you can put a length of bent metal in the cement for a handle. you might want to curve at each end if they are heavy enough it could pull out a piece of pipe without a bend.

love farmers walks, my old gym used to be perfect for them. Had a fitness room that wasnt occupied during the day so id just carry the db's in there and do sets of them. Then the carry back to the db rack was just torture. My gym now is tiny and too much shit in the way.
