When I power up my computer, my CPU fans spin and the LED lights are on, but nothing shows up on my Dell Dimension 4500 monitor. I have an AGP card ,but it sucks, so I didn't put it in the mobo. Instead, I used the integrated video in the mobo. When I actually tried using my AGP card instead of the integrated video, still nothing shows up on my screen. I tried leaving only the components: Power Supply, CPU FAN, Videocard, but it still doesn't show anything on my monitor.

    Specs:

    ATX CASE

    ADDED ECS RS400-A MOBO

    DELL DIMENSION 4500 MONITOR

    Help is greatly appreciated.

    remove power cable from tower
hold in power button for 8 - 10 seconds -- release button
plug power cable back into tower
    attempt to boot

    did that work?

    Has that setup ever worked?

If so, did you have any previous symptoms?

When you say nothing shows up on the monitor, do you mean the screen
is absolutely blank the entire time, or do you get any post messages as it
    attempts to start?

I mean that the monitor gets no response. It remains orange on the light, which means n/a. Green means it's active.

    * I connected my hard-drive, and its working properly.

Ok, I'll bite. How did your hard drive get disconnected in the first place?
