Fan Expo is Canada's largest Comic Con! This is my first ever comic con ive ever been to and it was a blast. This isnt just for comics, there is a horror, gaming and anime side to the con as well.

After driving 4.5 hrs and taking a cab to the venue, I arrive

    I has been welcomed

While going down the elevator, i saw my first 2 picture worthy characters
    [IMG]
Superman and Namor! Before I took this pic, Superman told me to wait - cause superman doesnt carry shopping bags

Kakashi (from Naruto, lots of naruto people at the show)

vader was a jerk and wouldnt turn for the camera. his PMS button is turned on i think

 quality costumes and they were more than happy to let me take pics

silent hill chicks, both were actually pretty hot outside the mask

The main reason I was here...Mr Tim Sale - artist on many awesome series' not to mention all the art in Heroes.
I got a VIP ticket, so I could get in to the floor 1 hr before the peasants and man did it pay off. As soon as I got in, i bolted to his booth and got in line. I was #5 of 7 to get an appointment for a sketch on day 1  Here he is doing a sketch of Joker for a chick in front of me
    [IMG]

here is him doing my batman sketch.... you'll see the pics later ;)

Entire Silent Hill group! amazing costumes - wouldnt be surprised if they won the best costumes in the event

crazy dude, the horns are real implants... yepp i know what youre thinking

I called him Zelda even though i clearly know its link :rofl:

    loljedilol

no clue who or what this is from, looked pretty cool though

MOVE YOUR ARM STUPID ASIA MAN

    her tits were everywhere

 my favorite costume of the event!

tons of jokers at the event, both these were pretty good.

pikachu outta nowhere, and asian man getting his grab on

    totally going to jail :wtc:

    ya no clue once again

everybody was KUNG FU FIGHTING HA HUH

:bowrofl::bowrofl::bowrofl: guy told me each arm weights 7lbs

    shitty spidey

now THAT is what im talking about, not spidey you fags :squint:

    cool again

Listernine wasnt happy when i asked where toothpaste was
Tauren Warrior!!!! he had 4 other NPC's with him dressed up, costume had real fur and he was great at screaming for the horde

he's part of the boxwars crew.... you make a costume out of boxes and fight people :hsugh:

there werent many booth hoes out at this one, and if there were it would take like 15 mins to get close to take a pic. so i said fuck it

    MY LOOT!!!!

    Sketch book

if you know me, im a punisher sucker :o $10 got me this though. should keep me entertained for a while

Alex Ross, variant cover issue event exclusive. was included in my goodie bag with my ticket, if you didnt get a VIP ticket it was sold out after 3 hrs of opening on day 1, and the next version they had was $50 in a casing. No marvel markings on the issue at all

    signed on the inside cover

print that this cute arsty chick had at her stand. $10 and i think its a really cool interpretation. she had a bunch of similar styled characters as well. will be buying more from her

G.W Fisher print. he had tons of other stuff as well. Was going to get the original of this, but my wallet was already crying. will be buying more from him, really cool guy - $20 for the print and the casing.

Last but not least...the reason i went.

I couldnt be more happy. Tim Sale is an awesome guy, chatted with him for 15 mins about how shitty his miata is while he drew me batman

my verdict, i will be going to this event again next year as it was a blast. lots of deals if you are looking for back issues or one offs, or some male on male manga. i was surpised by the amount of good looking women at the convention but i wasnt surprised at the stench some of these geeks had. it would burn your nostrils :ugh:

    hope you enjoyd the thread

anime stuff has really taken off with Naruto and Bleach not to mention the classic stuff.

the number of people dressed up as comic book super heroes has probably gone down.

saw a lot of jokers, but maybe 2-3 batmans, 2-5 supermans and a really hot wonder woman who i forgot to takea pic of :o
