    Good place to rent games?

A friend of mine is being promoted to DM and said that they're in position to monopolize the video rental industry. :eek3:

I've never rented from them, but I've recently been inside one and it looked like shit. Pricing is okay, better than like Hollywood and Movie Gallery.

Hardly anyone rents from brick and mortar stores anymore. As Redbox and Netflix keep building up more and more of those places will shut down.

I suppose holding a monopoly on a dying business model is a good thing?

Just saw one of the ones around here is closing and had "Everything Must Go" signs up. I didnt get a chance to stop in, but I wonder what's there and for sale and what was pushed off to other stores?

Also - never went to this Family Video place, I think there is one around here....but if Blockbuster's are falling, and they're doing both online and brick and mortar in addition to letting their online customers use their online membership in the store....AND Hollywood Videos shit the bed all over, and Netflix is everywhere not to mention RedBox...I can't imagine this place is going to "monopolize the industry", ya know? Maybe they're scraping by but they seem pretty "dumpy"...look at their website and logo...

Holy shit there are 8 locations around me and I've never been to, heard about or seen 1. That's pretty crazy.

    Fixed.

Tell him to have fun once fiber to the home is widespread and everyone in the US can rent movies for 99 cents from their couch.

I don't really go heads up with her when talking about Family Video largely because I'm don't really have any info on the industry other than rentals are going wayside to online distribution.
