Im not sure if people have already asked a similar question to this, but I have been eating 4 eggs 5 days a week lately... Some people told me that it is really bad for you, blah blah blah..... Should I be watching how many eggs I eat, or is it alright to eat 4 per day?

Im not sure if you missunderstood my tone, but Im not exactly worried....Im just wondering if there is anything to watch out for. My guess is that Im fine with eating that much, but it doesnt hurt to know for sure.

Whole or egg whites? You should be fine with whites.

doesn't cutting out the yolk just cut out (besides protein and a ton of vitamins) fat?

    This really all depends.

An egg is divided up with half of its protein in the white, and the other half in the yolk. The white contains not fat and is basically nothing but protein. The yolk does contain fat and also contains many vitamins.

Eating 5 whole eggs a day is not going to kill you... but you should understand that you are taking in 25g's of fat every morning when you do that. For some people, that might pose a threat of health, for others, it means relatively nothing.

For me, I prefer going with mostly whites because whole eggs are too rich, and I figure I mine as well get as much lean protein as I can. On a day when I do not want to eat as much I will go with 5 whites and 1 whole. Days I am more hungry, I will go with 9 whites, and 3 whole.

It is all upto you. Unless you have a heart condition you will not die... but having a little less fat in your diet is always good. You will be missing out on nutrients from the yolk, so perhaps get a daily multi.

ok, thx guys. Also, like, how many whites add up to 1 whole egg? Around two, right? (I'm wondering how much of the egg is made up of whites/yolk)

I get cartons of egg whites at Costco. It's like 4-5$CAN for 36 egg whites (4 cups). They sell powdered egg whites too but I can't find it in Canada. I know an internet store carries it in the US and it's friggin cheap but the shipping to Canada and duty fees ruins it.

Why not avoid fat after the workout ? It's the best time to take carbs and fruit isn't the best PWO since it doesn't really affect insulin (which helps muscle growth :)).

So post workout: people should concentrate on high protein, high carb snacks/meals? so like, a protein shake with some pasta/rice something?

Yup. Protein and carb have an additive effect on insulin which is good since insulin sensitivity is higher after a workout. Cocoa also has a certain effect on insulin. Today I had 1 cup of oats, 2 scoops of whey and cocoa. Pasta with meat balls could be nice, rice and tuna, tuna sandwich, chicken sandwich, yams and ham, name it.
