I only found it because someone i'm friends with joined the 'anti policy change' group.

I swear to god, there are groups for fucking anything on that site.

but yeah, then a half hour ago, I saw the story again on the local news here. Which made me start actually thinking about it.

I know some places put a "we can change it whenever the fuck we want without notification" clause in their TOS' but I'm not sure of the legality of all that.

Over the past few days, we have received a lot of feedback about the new terms we posted two weeks ago. Because of this response, we have decided to return to our previous Terms of Use while we resolve the issues that people have raised.

If you want to share your thoughts on what should be in the new terms, check out our group Facebook Bill of Rights and Responsibilities.

This isn't a privacy issue. This has always been in Facebook's ToS. The controversy in the ToS now is that they're trying to reserve the right to maintain copies even after they have been removed from the site; however, they don't retain the licenses to use your work.

I'm not sure way this change in particular would make you want to remove your work from Facebook as they have always had full license to use your work however they saw fit so long as it was posted on their site.
