If Faber doesn't pull a Sherk and want to show off his boxing, then he has a good chance
Faber but itd be a damn good fight to watch.
Yamamoto if fights at 62kg
thats a very tough call.
i would say faber.
does kid even fight at 145 anymore?
Kid fights at an even lower weight class now. I think he would win anyway though.
cage or ring?
i'd go with Faber at this point of their careers. both are wrestlers with proven striking, but Faber actually has been a lot more active. i don't remember seeing Kid using much offensive wrestling, and if it gets in a clinch and/or on the ground, i think that Faber has the edge due to his retard strength
Kid would smash his obnoxious little butt chin.
agreed. As much as I love Yamamoto, I'd love to say how he would win, but I doubt he would win against Faber at this point.
Kid would get worked, im sorry.
I thought that Ohh-rah Favor would have taken this easily until the Pulver fight.
But now I think the chance of Kid TKO/KOing him in a 5 round fight would be pretty high.
The way Faber leaps in with his overhand right will lose him this fight. It worked against Pulver because Pulver wasn't fast enough to capitalize, but Kid is. Remember the Pulver fight...everytime Jens was able to put his hands on Urijah he was countering that right, he'd combo off of it and try to chase Urijah down. Kid will time him and knock him the fuck out on his way in. Remember I said it.
ok, i'll remember this for when they fight, which should happen any day now
Its unfortunate but I think drag may be right on this one. Zuffa will keep Urijah locked up as long as he's got the belt, that much is certain, and theres no upside for them in making this fight. Yamamoto is too expensive, and they wouldn't want to risk having their golden boy get crushed.
Who knows though A guy can hope. And if it does happen, remember I said that
I agree with Mejnoon.
Because of one fight of Urijah's, people seem to have forgotten Kid's Olympic quality wrestling, his great striking (fought against the best in K-1 Max), and great gNp.
Like I sad, at 62kg, Kid will take it. At Urijah's normal weight class, then I'll give it a 50/50.
