So I'm thinking about starting a project car that will use the S2000 drivetrain. The motor in question (F20c) has 70k miles on it and was driven by an old man who rarely activated the VTEC.

How reliable are these motors? Can i expect 150k out of one?

Also, how much power can I extract from the F20c without going forced induction?

How much power can i get without opening up the motor? I.e. stock block, heads, cams.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ua03oAHmIJU A/R/C induction box makes vtec sound fucking amazing!

You should be able to get upwards of 300 at the crank from it with basic bolt ons and some tuning. Maybe even more depending on the parts you choose to go with.

Looks like most people see around 210-240whp with just bolt-ons. If you go cams, valves, valve springs, and retainers along with ITB (individual throttle bodies) and a good tune 300whp should be no problem what's so ever.

you'll be good as long as you use the original exhaust manifold, unless your going forced induction then don't worry about it.

throw on some TODA ITB's and that bitch will scream
