where every kid has asthma and allergies.
had a big long thing typed up.. but here are the cliffs.
Son vomited hotdogs and milk.. went up his nose.. blowing out hotdog chunks for days after he vomited.. Now has sinus infection. with a fever. doc says its asthma.. doc told dad to give son steroids that make him angry and never tired ..
tell him to work out while he's on the steriods... I mean at least get some use out of them.
So I guess the doc made the right call this time?
sorta.. except for he does not have asthma... and the oral steroids make him angry and wired 24/7 for 2 weeks.. he gets mean and punchs stuff and yells and screams (more so then the average).. and now insted of only staying home for 1 day of missed school I will have to stay home untill his fever breaks naturally it will happen because of the while blood cells but a round of antibiotics would have speed things up quicker.. and I would not miss exams I would like to thank all of the retard moms who go in for colds; I can only assume thats why the med team was cranky.
also.. having rotting meat in his nose cant be good.. I think I will do some saline rinse with a baby nose sucker bulb lol
they didn't just tell him to drink water?
Or to clean out their system
I have pinched nerves, I kid you not every time i go in for refills and don't get my normal doctor, they freak out about the RX he prescribed (moderate codeine). They act like I'm a frigging criminal or something, It's like why are you questioning your peer here?
Moderate codeine turns into moderate hydrocodone, turns into moderate oxy, turns into morphine, turns into HEROIN. Motrin, on the other hand....
roflol, ok then.
well son is still stick.. running out of steroids tomorrow.. still not better.. Called to make an appointment but it is a wing down day.. the fucking asshole of the triage nurse would not give us a refereal because "he can not have a refereal for a follow up appointment. It does not matter if he is worse."
ERs are free.
they are not free.. lol if your child is bleeding/not breathing/ or unconsious.. it is free other wise you are SOL and you will get the bill in the mail.. BUT I will be taking him to the urgent care tomorrow and sending tricare the bill.
The fucker on the phone was an ass.. I had to get rude on him.
Tricare will pay for an ER visit. It is the military member who has to get authorization. As a dependent, you should just notify Tricare that you are going to the ER.
I've done this many times with my wife and two children.
That is total bunk. I bring my baby boy to the ER pretty much every time he gets sick because every time I call pediatrics for an appointment they say, and I am not making this up, "you can't bring him in here if he's SICK!!". Then what the fuck are they even here for????
You kid definitely needs antibiotics, and since it's gone this long, and there is a possible blockage in his sinuses he may even need a sinus tap. Those suck fucking big balls, I had one done. They basically go into your nose and drill into the sinus cavity, then take a, well, I don't know what it's actually called but it looks like a tiny plumber's snake, and route it through the sinuses to loosen up the blockage. Wanna talk about instant sinus pressure relief!! It felt fabulous other than the fact that the inside of my nose hurt like a bitch until the hole healed up!
are you positive about this? I know this was the standard when we got in.. but the base put in the paper that this is not longer the case and you have to recive a referal. I am so sick of fucking around with them Im about to switch to standerd. poor little fella he look rough.
I just wanna thank y'all for the advice and alowing me to rant.
I'm sorry but am I the only one that couldn't stop laughing at this. Poor basterd haha.
Codeine = Light Narcotic used to treat mild chronic pain. Hence why they think he's a crack head or something.
SO.. Took the kiddos back in today. Mikey is still full of crud in his lungs.. and came in with an ucky nasty bloody nose.. and is now on antibiotics.. Abby had an ear infection.. and is now on antibiotics. Then I went upstairs to the patient advocate.. apparently I was not the only one was was angered by the afterhours care line.
Yeah, unfortunately, with my experience with the patient advocate, all they really are is a place to vent. They won't actually DO anything to fix your issues.
