wtf i just took some muscle relaxers but every time i do any lift, even mil presses or BB curl my lower back flares the fuck up. this means i can do shit for lifting...i took a week off and the lumbar got better but day 2 of getting back into lifting and its shit again. maybe its a herniated disk or something....any suggestions or should i just go to the docs?

Only advice I can offer is the following:

    1) chiropractor

    2) stretching before and after workouts

    3) rest

    4) learn better form in all your lifts (especially dead lifts, use lighter weight until you feel comfortable with them)

Isolate your body when working out? I don't often recommend machines, but if a doctor okays you for exercise (tells you as long as you don't feel pain that it is okay) try using some machines to isolate the muscle you want to work without getting as much stabilization involvement from your back.

Go see a doctor. I am going through a herniated disk right now and I wish I would have gone to a doctor earlier.

Pain that radiates from very low back down the leg. Sharp pain when bending over twisting.
