Currently I have a power rack, ghr, and high/low pulleys. I'm leaning towards the dumbell set because I think it would be the most useful overall but I'm not sure. I've wanted the reverse hyper for a while now, and I've never used a leg press or hack squat before and thought it might be nice to take a break from squatting once in a while.

Just get olympic dumbell handels. They are 30 a pop everywhere. You really seem like you wanna waste your money. The reverse hyper isn't a bad idea though.

I already have the olympic db handles from elitefts but have maxed them out. I need to be able to go heavier and honestly they are scary to lift overhead, always feels like the collar might come off so I don't really want to mess with another larger pair of handles.

Yeah I wouldn't normally spend that much but I got a really nice and unexpected Christmas bonus, so I'll part of that.

The handles I have hold 6 10's a side, so with the handles and collars roughly 135-140lb. Believe me even with good collars it is scary to tilt them at all when they are over your head.

you have a GHR and 45 back raise?
I would buy those two over a reverse hyper, I have the pro model, and its verry nice, but the other two pieces of equipment are much mroe usefull.

I have the GHR but not 45 degree back raise. The rev hyper would be primarily for low back rehab during hockey season.

gotcha, if you plan on squatign more than 500, you should look into the pro model.

Not too far from that now already. Is the pro model just for higher weights, what the difference?

    its larger, holds more weight...
i dunno how a roler one is though, as i have never used it, but i hear it is harde, so possibly the standard would work well now... I can probably fit atleast 7 plates per side on my pro

I dunno, those 190lb dbs sound nice. I think the diversity of them makes them more desirable to me over the reverse hyper.

:hsd: I know, I felt like a pussy for even suggesting it but some days I have the worst anxiety before squatting, it can be a real mind fuck. :noes:

I can do gettho rev hypers now by using the GHR and low pulley, but nothing is exactly the same as using a real rev hyper machine. DL and GMs are already being done, and as I stated the rev hyper would be primarily for back rehab. Heavy ass DLs and GMs are not going to help with that and will actually destroy my back during hockey season.

yeah, it could help eliviate some stress of squats, especially if you are feeling it in your shoulders and such, cambered bar would eb cool too. BNut i dunno if i could honestly say those two would eb better than the dumbells. I would rather have a RH than the dumbells though still.

I'd get the reverse hyper mainly because I dont use DBs that much.

No offense broly but I'm already doing my GM worksets with 300+. GMs are a great strength building exercise, but they don't stretch the lower back and decompress it like a reverse hyper does, I don't know of anything elese that does in fact. The two aren't really comparable for my purposes.

If you have a chance to ever try out a reverse hyper, do it. It'll make sense then as to why everyone loves them

I'm just gonna get both. I have more of a need for the dumbells so I'm getting them now and the rev hyper when my season starts. :bigthumb:
