And usually after I get done playing 4-5 games of pick-up basketball I'm too tired to lift afterwards. Would switching to a 3 day split still be enough to make gains? I would like to do something like

    Monday - Chest/Back
    Tuesday - Ball
    Wednesday - Shoulders / Arms
    Thursday - Ball
    Friday - Rest
    Saturday - Legs
    Sunday - Ball

I have been faithful to the F&N sticky routine for quite awhile now, but I've been missing days recently because of this.

    Thanks for the advice

I thought cardio after muscle-workout was bad for muscle growth?

:werd: I play the 1 with my buddies a few days a week, I can barely dribble if I've just lifted, let alone get the ball to the rim.

takes awhile to get used to, but you adjust. Back in my college days/balling days, I'd always lift then ball.

i was so well adjusted, that if i didn't lift first i'd go into the gym and airmail the ball 2ft over the rim.

I think the point is that cardio before weightlifting uses up some of your glycogen stores, making less energy available for weightlifting

Glycogen stores don't get burned much weightlifting

exactly.. I run the 1 and depend heavily on my shot and regardless of how much warming up i do post-lifting my game just feels totally off.

some great info in here though.. thanks
