I'm permanently located in a city on the northern outskirts of Baghdad. And can you believe this.... I actually have to work. The schedule, if I get lucky can be 6 hours tower guard, 12 off, but sometimes it's 6 on, 6 off. Which is what will happen tomorrow. I have two 6 hour shifts split up. Had one last night, and have in in 30 minutes or so. The main traffic we get is from an FP station next door to our little FOB. So, 3 days of tower guard, 3 days of patrolling in Humvees. Looking forward to that. I'm told we get a few rockets attacks from within the city at least 3 times a week. I'm told there were females around when the Air Force was here, but now it's a complete sausage fest. I spilled my guts out to the guy on tower watch with me last night. I told him that I have the unintentional problem of not paying attention to detail. He recommended I talk to the medic in our Chute to see if he can get me some meds. Even though it wasn't my fault, one of my sea-bags was still on the black hawk after they dropped us off 2 nights ago. I didn't unload the Helo, so it wasn't my fault. I just have bad luck. I wonder if I will ever see the bag again.
