I am throwing myself to the wolves here.

I went with the standard stuff bar over the center of the feet, bring the shins to the bar as I get ready, arms just wide enough to clear my legs and I kept my butt down.

Yes I was a bit unsteady on the 2nd rep. My grip felt off so I stopped and reset.

get the lower back tighter, hips potentially higher, bar closer to the shin with the shin a bit more perpendicular to the floor. I also like to look up when I deadlift, I find it keeps my chest up and back tight.

That belt is also a piece of shit, possibly look into ditching it or getting a proper pl belt. Titan make a very cheap and good quality pl belt.

    .

it doesnt look like you're getting the full rep at the top. lock your hips/glutes and pause at the top for a second.

it almost makes it look like that weight is too light for you.

    i'd lose the belt entirely.

This is how I was taught and how I teach setting up proper deadlift position. It gets your hamstrings tight and gets your shoulders in front of the bar.

    From standing

    1. Set your stance hip width apart and set the bar over the center of your foot (about 2 inches from your shins - looking down the bar should cover your shoe laces)

    2. Set your grip - thumbs width away from your thighs, grab the bar without bending your knees.

    3. Move your shins to the bar - shins move towards the bar, do not roll the bar to your shins.

    4. Keeping your hips in position, set your back and lift your chest up - you should feel tightness in your hamstrings. You should also feel that if you lifted your chest any higher, the bar would come off the floor.

Go heavier for a single and redo the video, that weight looks way too light for you.

It doesn't look too bad though. drop the belt, grind your shins into the bar, ass down, big chest, pull.

That was my third work set on the 5x5 dead day for 5/3/1.

I have the brusies on my shins today to prove the bar tracked straight.

If my ass was any higher it makes my lower back arch inward. I had it on video.

I have the econo belt. Pretty good quality and do not seeing it wearing out anytime soon. Took a while to break in (a month).

Don't face a mirror if you can avoid it (helps with balance to look at a static point)

Bar goes above middle of the foot at all times (hint: you can only see half of your foot)

Imagine pushing your chest out to get full lockout rather than leaning back. Shoulders should always be slightly in front of the bar through the motion

Shoot your video from dead on from the side rather than at a slight angle. You can then see your bar movement better.

So I should go with a 10mm 4" belt, single prong from apt or inzer ? I have heard inzers customer service isn't the best.
