So I finally got the EyeTV Hybrid, although every time I try the set up assistant, I do auto tune, and no channels are being found. It's set up to cable via coax cable, but it's not working. Any ideas?

Does your TV pick up the channels without a box / cablecard?

yeah it's just a straight coax cable from the wall

Have you tried with the antenna yet and see what you get with over-the-air stuff?

I have digital cable, but w/out using my cable box hooking into the wall was pointless. I had less stations and crappy picture. I tried going out from my cable box, but no real luck there since I'd have to change channels from the box (no IR blaster).

make sure your eyetv is plugged directly into your computer (or with the extension usb cable), not through a usb hub

it may not be getting enough power

Well, I just looked at the website, and it says that it will not play directly from digital cable. I have to have it go through a set top box for it to work. I'm definitely not TV savvy, so I don't exactly know what they mean by a set top box. Do they mean the cable box? If so, I live on campus, and we get digital cable, but no box. What can I do??
