So I've been on vacation for a few days to see family and I decided to take a bunch of pictures yesterday. Today, I'm having trouble focusing on anything. I thought there was something weird with my lens, so I cleaned it, and it's still the same. I asked 4 family members to focus it so it had a nice crisp look, and they all had no problems, but I just can't focus it. It has to be my eyes. Does anyone have any issues with this after shooting a bunch of pictures? Last night I had no problem focusing, but today it sucks. I know I don't have the best eye sight, but I had no problems last night. :hs:

no clue buddy, go see an eye doctor though. Your eyes are NOT something you want to fuck with.

On a side note, a co-worker of mine CAN'T BLINK!

He cannot close one eye and still have the other eye open.

Imagine trying to focus a camera that way.

    :dunno:

Ok, sorry I feel like an idiot lol. But I think I know what you meant. I tried checking, and the focus looks fine now. Sorry for the stupidity :wtc:

haha yeah, that's what it was. For some reason, the rest of my family could focus it fine, but I couldn't. When I changed the dial, I could focus it. Is it weird that my family could focus it?

Hmmm.... They all wear glasses, but I think only for near things, and we were looking at farther things. I guess that would do it.

Don't know if you have the same problem I had, but when I was shooting video day in/day out years ago, my right eye (the focusing eye) would get fatigued from looking thru the viewfinder after a few hours because it was doing all the work. I would close my left eye while shooting, which made the problem worse.

Make sure your camera eyepiece diaopter is adjusted to your eye and try keeping your left eye open from time to time to help relieve the strain on your right eye.

haha yeah, at least I admit to what I said being stupid.
Ok, now it's time for me to read up on photography. I'd like to learn more so I'm s step up from being a noob. I don't think I'll ever be nearly as good as the guys in this forum, but I'd really like to be decent. I'll keep working at it.
