Not really sure if this is the right forum for this question or not but i figured i'd give it a shot. Does anyone know if differences in diet can change your eye color. Normally my eyes are hazel but occasionally, once every 2 months or so, someone will comment about how intense green they are and whenever i've checked in a mirror they have been an almost emerald green. I just wanted to know if it could be a change in my diet that does it because i'd like to figure out what triggers it.

I've often wondered if changes in blood sugar affect eye color at all..my boyfriend's eyes seem to change color around meals, same deal- he's usually hazel but they'll be bright green at certain points.

I have hazel eyes, and if my eye whites or the skin around my eyes is a bit red/bloodshot/puffy they tend to look green.

Once I had some green contacts, and couldn't wear them during the day because they looked weird alien bright green :p

That's exactly it for me. Your eye doesn't change colors, it's just the red in your whites is a complementary color to your green making it look more intense. So solution, irritate your eyes.
