I'm working full time and doing an intensive study course for the LSAT for the next month and a half.

I love going to the gym and have been 3 - 6 times a week for the last 4 years. Now suddenly, I have no time, and can't keep sacrificing LSAT study time to hit the gym.

Saturday / Sunday I can go all day and do whatever. Monday / Wednesday, I have time for maybe an hour total in the gym. Frequently missed though for need of studying. Tuesday/Thursdays I'm at work / class from 7AM to ~11PM. Friday work and a needed night out.

What can I do with my limited time / energy during this period to keep my gains? Due to poor planning I was in the middle of a bulk cycle at the start of this busy period and made great gains in s/b/d.

Should I focus on all max effort excercises? Do compound only? Oly lifts? B/S/D every day?

    What does F&N suggest?

sounds like you have plenty of time. i would just do full body workouts for up to an hour 2-3x a week focusing on compound lifts.

I have considered your position and have some thoughts on it. I want you to pay attention to what I'm writing here because it is not a trite answer.

    Make time.

You will never have time. You must make it. Decide what a reasonable amount of time you will spend is, adjust your exercise selection to make sure you have the core exercises covered, decrease your time between sets, cut out the extraneous bullshit, and make it happen.

I have worked 14 hour days and still gone to the gym. The only time I've missed was because the gym was closed when I got out of work.

Make up your mind what a reasonable amount of time to commit is, then do so.

I've done well in the past by working out on Saturday/Sunday only. Upper body on Saturday and Lower body on Sunday. All compound movements, not much rest.

On another note, having done the LSat, Law School, and the Bar, you will want to make sure you make time for working out, otherwise you will go mad.

My problem is with my current set up, it is never just an hour. ~10 minutes getting ready for gym, 15 minutes to the gym, 1 hour in the gym, 15 minutes back from the gym, 15 minutes to shower, eat, etc.

Whole process is at least 2+ hours.

Here is your answer. If you're looking to maintain you might want to get strict on your diet or you'll add a little fat. It can all be handled later though.

Also, maybe a two-a-day split will work over the weekend.

so sat + sun, looks like you can do some friday as well.

it's rough, but manageable. besides, this is only for ~ 6weeks.
