I just need a very basic cms that is easy to integrate to an existing site. Something like wordpress but I don't want to mess with templates. Is there something where I can just include a php file in a div and be done?

Why not download/install Drupal and give someone your site to integrate into Drupal? :dunno:

drupal is way too much overkill for what I need.

The site is already built, I just need something to easily update the news section.

If that's all you need why not create a simple database driven news script? It'll take a few hours max. If you don't know how, look around on the net for News scripts. I'm sure you can find one that'll fit your needs. If not, I'm sure with light modifications to one it'll suite your requirement. :dunno:
