I caught about the last half of it, and I must say I was disappointed with the howitzer demonstration, I mean, 4 rounds? Come on, it's for TV, you know we want to see more destruction than that. :weak:

That dude with the lever action was awesome, except for the fact that it reminded me that I'll never be able to shoot as well as that. :wtc:

watched most of it, but missed about the last 20 mins, as it was 1:40 in the AM. Excellent marksmanship.

Anyone know what the Army snipers were using? It was an M-24 Remmy 700, but the caliber they mentioned was a .33 Magnum, which would lead me to believe that it would be .338 Lapua, or .338 WinMag, but the action was a short action. Any guesses? They did 7 shots on a man sized target at 1000 yds.

It was a good show. Watched most of it (was in and out). Tom Knapp (the guy that shot the 22 thru the washer) will be at a local shop at the end of August. I'm going to try and catch his show. :)

i don't get why the sniper portion wasn't done with a barret and a target at 2,000+ yards. that's a hard shot. 1,000 yards with the .308 is a cakewalk for a sniper.

    fucking in

idk I was always under the impression that 1000 yards with .308 could be pretty difficult.

Lets see at 1000 yards with a 308 you got about 16' of drop and at that distance it is crawling at well under 500 fps. It's just too easy.
