I have finally come to the point where I have run out of HDD space again. I currently have an 80 and a 120. There are no more places to mount any kind of drive in my computer, so I was thinking about the externals.

Is it better to go with a 3.25 bay to USB2/Firewire adaptor and new HDD, or just go with an External HDD w/USB2/Firewire?

if you're going to be using USB/Firewire, might as well just get the external

Go external then you get the benefits of having it portable.
