I got a really cool SimpleTech 120GB HDD and it won't work. I plug it in and the computer recognizes it....although I don't get a HDD icon on the desktop, I get a weird USB icon...but when I try to drop files on it, it says that the drive cannot be modified.

The drive is brand new. What do I do to make it work?

Oh, also, under "owenership & permissions" it says I can only read.

Okay, found the manual online. I don't need a driver, but I do need to format the drive. How do I do this?
