    One of the newegg users is upset that it comes pre-formatted with FAT-32.
    <shrug>
    Looks like a fine drive to me.

    Most of the time I feel like buying a pre-packaged external hard drive could be done cheaper if you roll your own.
    But the price on this one is right.
    I say go for it.

    well, it looks like newegg is down right now, but just because it comes formatted FAT32 doesnt mean you cant reformat it to whatever you want

    I only said that because it was the only negative comment I saw on the site and cause I thought it was a downright retarded comment.

    I mean, if you think about it it makes the most sense to preformat a drive in FAT32.

    You can get nearly ANYTHING to read FAT32. All the windows flavors will read FAT32 natively.

    But if you preformat in NTFS well then you are restricted to W2K and newer.
    I know nothing of Linux flavors.... but I bet Linux can read Fat32 as well.
