External Drive help

    (Drive was used for about two months on a windows laptop.)


    When I connect my external drive to my MB it only reads certain parts of the disc. IE in my Pics Folder, it only lists sub-folders from s-z. No record of A-r. :( When I connect it back to the windows laptop it's all still there.


    Any opinons?

    I would assume it's a formatting issue. What's it formatted as?

    Um no idea. :rofl: I just hook em up and the computer does the rest. :)

    Can you write to the HD from your mac?

    beware, with fat32, the max file size is like 4-5 gb i think.

    I think I've stored bigger files than that on my Fat32 partition.

    yeah 4gb is the max file size
