I use USB drive for my iTunes library and backups. It is currently formatted FAT32 because I was transferring files between my Mac and Windows machine. I barely use my Windows machine now so I've been wanting to convert the external drive the Mac format due to filename issues I get sometimes.

Is there any reason I shouldn't do this? Is there a converter or do I have to totally wipe the drive to convert it?

you can use disk utility on the mac to convert your drive. you'll lose all your data though.
