extending the range of my laptops wifi?

    i have an hp pavilion zv5000 and i want to extend the range of my laptops wifi.. is there anyway i can do that? :hs:

    buy a repeater for your access point.

    "extending the range" also increases the noise so in effect it's nearly useless.

    i want my laptop to have better range outside of my house for like when im at a free wifi area or whatever. i alway get a shitty connection

    get a cardbus card that supports an external antenna.

    check for updates for your laptop's wifi... other than that there is no way besides disabling it and buying a PCMCIA/USB wifi card with better range.
