how is the quality/fit on these?

there are a few that i really like the look of, but not sure if they'll fall apart in the washer/dryer.

Just dry clean them and you wouldn't have to worry about them falling apart. For basic shirts from Express it'd be cheap. About $1.5 per shirt per clean.

At their price (plus sales all the time), Express is not bad quality. Style is decent like other chains they stay away from too crazy designs so you can't mess up. Perfectly fine to have a few of the shirts as your mid-range options in the closet. Not nice enough as a go-to shirt.

I hardly ever wear mine any more for this reason. I have at least 10-15 1MXs, and you wear them once and they're fucking wrinkled beyond use. And then you piss away $1.50 to make them look good again.

I absolutely suck at ironing, so maybe if you're good at ironing you can keep them good.

They are excellent, I have two of them and wear them almost eveyday and the hold up perfect. Also I bike to work, and do a labor-type of job in these and I have yet to see them tear, etc. Only thing I've noticed is black fades after about 10 months, but the build is superior. I'm a thinner guy and the fit is perfect, also they are a bit expensive but worth it. Also after about 20-40 washes they are still holding up great, if that puts it all in perspective I highly reccomend these.

Add me to this crew. Have about 10 of the 1MX shirts, the fit/cut is superior compared to anything else for the price. Plus the patterns are modern but not over-the-top. These are typically the only dress shirts I buy now, Express occasionally has sales where you can get 3 for $33 each, I take advantage of that shit.

Right and if you register for emails, you usually get an extra 15-20% off the seldom sale price, which is a good discount for three shirts. I've been getting 25-30+% off coupons for awhile now been with them for about 4 years now. I would def rep their brand, and promote it; not beacuse I buy a lot of it, but beacuse the price and build quailty which is hard to find anymore, it's called quailty.

Decent quality for the price (as others have said $30 on sale, wouldn't pay full retail ever for them tho). The modern fit is awesome for me too (slimmer guy). The wrinkling is kind of shitty tho.

I'm with you on the wrinkling; i am too lazy to walk downstairs to see what some of my better shirts are made out of, but my express shirts wrinkle instantly... For the most part, i never shop there anymore and will head across the walkway to banana (maybe i'm getting old :dunno:)

Anyone know how the modern fit 1mx shirts are suppose to fit? For a medium, it feels like I still have room in the collar and around the chest/waist area but shoulders feel good.

Should I try a fitted medium?

I love their shirts. If you have the body for their form-fitting styles then they can look very flattering.

which is why you wait for their sales which is beyond ridiculous with things getting marked down 80%

Some of them are. Others are reasonably priced. Express isn't that bad in terms of cost.
