I've been listening to a lot of their stuff lately, I find it to be excellent studying music, as well as just to listen to in general. I was a bit skeptical of them at first, but once I listened to a few of their songs, I was in love

Explosions in the Sky are my favourite post rock group, there pretty goddam amazing imao. I could never get into other post rock bands such as GSYBE or Mogwai as I found them to be overblown and pretentious. But theres something about Explosions in the Sky, a kind of down to earth honesty that prevails through all there music (probably down to the fact there a band, as opposed to an orchestra), and its certainly some of the most emotive instrumental music I've ever heard. There great to chill and work to.

I'm still more of a Sigur Ros/ GYBE fan, but Explosions in the Sky is definitely some good stuff

When my friend first introduced me to them, he told me they were a neo-classical style band. I wasn't sure what that meant :hs:

Explosions is indeed good. The only thing that sucks is on "...shall die" the distortion and clean channel levels are nowhere near the same, there is too much of a jump in volume. It is more of a production flaw than music flaw though, the music is great.
