Explain to me how I'm leaner after bulking than I was before

    I've put on 26 pounds since October on 3500-4000 cals/250-300g's protein a day and it's all been fairly clean. I've put on a lot of muscle mass obviously during the bulk, but I haven't seen any unwanted fat at all. I started the bulk at 5'9 and 146 :ugh: (Not skinnyfat, but flabby for sure). I just don't understand how my bodyweight can be 26 pounds higher and my bodyfat appear lower. I know I can't have put on 26 pounds of LBM in a 4 month period.

    Here's a shitty cam pic of my stomach right now for reference, I'd guess I'm around 12-13% or so

    I guess I'll just keep bulking until I start noticing some unwanted fat :dunno: but there's no signs of it now

    You're on the verge of seeing abs at 12-13%, and that's where I'm at :dunno:

    gaining muscle while leaning out. its possible
    i gained muscle and lost fat since i started lifting.

    i'm actually alittle bit heavier in the before pic, but in the after i have a smaller waist and bigger overall + almost 2x stronger in all my lifts.

    yer arms in the 1st pik look pretty damn big 4 never lifting.

    first pic late oct-04, the after pic feb-06. i had maybe 3months of weight training previously in the before pic, but that was before summer and i didn't workout at all during the summer. so i had to pretty much start all over again.

    heres two more pics to compare, it may appear not alot of progress have been made, but my arms are almost 2" bigger in the after and alot wider, and lost 3" off the waist.

    damn i need to learn how to use photoshop better.
