I am confused on what I need to buy on my first round of polishes/swirl removers and glazes. There is Optimum, Poorboys, Meguiars, Cleakote, and Werkstat just to name a few.

I have my sealants and carnuba's just need input on compounds, swirl removers and polishes. I do have PC but have not used it yet. From your guys experience what would you suggest to a newbie to get the first time out.

What specifically do you need to accomplish? What type of vehicle, what type of defects?

Well my civic does have swirls but nothing else major than that(white). My moms explorer(white/silver) has some deep scratches where she was dinged. I also have a friend with a 4 runner(black) with HEAVY swirls and scratches from being off road. He does not give a shit about it and really wants me to give it a whirl and see what kind of a diffence I can do.

I enjoy this as a hobby, not as a full time job

    thanks

Hmmmmmm..........My vote may have to go to Optimum. You have several choices there for your needs, plus being new you have the time to work the product to your desired results......

Optimum is preaty damn noob friendly, and it would certaintly work good on all of the vehicles hes listed.
