So two days ago during my workout I got these extreme pulsating headaches at the back of my head near the neck. I looked into it a little and I guess they were exertion headaches. Now 2 days ago I still feel the headache a little bit, until I went to the gym again. I did 3 sets of bench and the pain was worse then it was 2 days ago. The shit is still pulsating as I type this.

It pissed me off that I had to stop my workout after only 3 sets of bench. This will be the first day Ive missed in about 3 months. Anyone know how long Im going to be down for? Or why these headaches just started out of nowhere two days ago when it never happened before? Im not ready for a break yet!

Are you breathing during your sets?

I had the same problem, but it seemd to be only when I worked my back. Problems ceased when I started paying attention to my breathing during sets. Apparently I was holding my breath.

I got them for a week once and I never got them again. At the time I blamed it on ZMA but I take that now with no problems so who knows. Could be temporary.

Any time I get those it tends to be linked to letting my neck come forward while doing some sort of shrugging motion or tensing my traps. It usually goes away after a few days, but once those muscles in the upper neck are irritated it effects everything I do for up to about a week.

I was probably holding my breath. I usually catch myself when I do it though. My blood pressure has always been fine. Im just taking protein and no xplode. Ive been taking the no xplode for 2 and a half months though.

Im gonna give myself till next Wednesday, I HOPE it doesnt stop my workout then. I wanted to step it up a lil for June too.

I got them really bad for about 3 weeks, like 2 years ago.

At the time I was taking a product with CEE in it. I would lay off the no-xplod, drink lots of water, and take a couple weeks off.

    You'll be fine.

Only time this happened to me was when I was on stims and wasn't breathing properly.

    User error.

hydration, pottasium and magnesium can help.

though as mentioned proper breathing, body position and stretching are also key

Ok so I didnt go to the doctor. Read a bunch of threads by people describing the exact same thing and they just had to take time off.

I havent lifted since the 29th last month except for when I tried to do the curls. I went running last Thursday and yesterday. When I ran that Thursday the pain came back, though not as bad. Then as I kept running the pain went down and just became a pulsing. When I ran yesterday there was nothing. I also did some pushups yesterday to see if it would come back. There was nothing.

Im going to the gym tommarow to see if I can finally start lifting again. Think I should take any no xplode? Probably not huh?

Make sure you're hydrated and make sure you're breathing properly.

Ok I went. Looks like Im back in the game! I still felt it after the first three sets of bench, but it wasnt that bad. Then after that it subsided to just a feint pulsing. I did lift a little light though. I also ended up taking the no explode. Feels good to be able to lift again.
