just completing that right now and have hit a road block trying to move the public folders. Using the recommneded pfmigrate tool and it just keeps saying something simliar to 'cannot connect to 'source server (5.5)'.

Im not quiet sure wtf the problem is. Dns and everything is fine, im leaning towards a WMI problem.

I even ran netmon and well executing the command it made no connection attempts to the 'source server' so wtf is going on :squint:

Did it make any DNS queries for the 'source server'? Sounds like it can't find it...

Is this within a single domain or are you migrating from one domain to another?

God migration in general is usually a nightmare.
I just rebuilt our exchange from scratch on a new domain, then did an export/import on everyone's mail, from their PC.

Thank god there's only 20 something people to worry about.

BTW, don't do this, because you can't reply to the old messages from internal users. exchange ties their AD account in by SID (stupid) instead of just leaving the SMTP address there.
