with an arm you can start whenever you feel comfortable

martin - with your feet, id wait a bit longer just cause you don't want too much rubbing.

What if we wear supportive gear like neoprene elbow sleeves? Would the pressure and dampness be an issue?

  8. Thanks man, I actually decided to go with my original idea on the arm. I'll get the feet done when I don't have to run.

If you absolutely have to wear the gear than avoid working out. You don't want to "soak" a healing tattoo. It'll promote growth of the scab.

Depends on where the tattoo is. If it's on your inner thigh than avoid running. :mamoru: If it's on your chest, back, leg than it shouldn't really be a problem.

    Be sure to post pics.

I waited a week when I was getting my sleeve done but I took antibacterial soap with me to the gym and washed off as soon as I finished ( I didnt wait to get home). I also wore a loose shirt and avoided straps. and maybe for you GTlifter try and stay away from the chalk as much as you can if the tattoo is near your hands.

You mean with like sweat and other stuff right?

Cause I'm regularly putting lotion on mine to keep it moist currently.. I was told to do this, and to clean it 2-3 times a day. For two weeks. Yes?

Moisturize yes BUT don't over do it. for a palm sized tattoo I wouldn't use more than a pea sized amount of moisturizer.

IF your tattoo feels tight or just feels like it's dry, defo lube that shit up. I know sometimes mine will itch when they are dry.

You'd have to change a lot for it to "deform"

I'm planning on getting some work done on my chest/back and upper arms. So chalk isn't an issue but not wearing elbow sleeves really isn't an option unless I go really light.

How long would I have to wait after the back piece to bench press? I assume the pressure and rubbing of getting set up on the bench would affect it.

It looks like I'm going to have to wait until late June to get anything done. :wtc:

It turns out that i put on to much lotion and it made like.. a cover... I was regularly washing it to, and it never came off, until i literally rubbed/picked it off. then i cleaned it again well, and put very little lotion on it like you told me to.

Tatt fail, it seems to be fine now though :)
