    I'm trying to take a cell's contents, and insert it into another cell as a substring of that cell. So, something like this:

    Code:
    [FONT=Courier New]   A         B     C
    1 sunny 75 It is sunny and 75 degrees today
    2 cloudy 66 It is cloudy and 66 degrees today
    3 rainy 50 It is rainy and 50 degrees today[/FONT]

    Can someone tell me how to do this? Thanks!

    use the concatenate function. if you use insert->function it's under the text menu.

    You can also do it with a macro.

    Code:
    intRow = 1

        Do Until Cells(intRow, 1).Value = ""
            Cells(intRow, 3).Value = "It is " & Cells(intRow, 1).Value & " and " & Cells(intRow, 2).Value _
                       & " degrees today."
            intRow = intRow + 1
        Loop
