I just bought a E46 M3 and I LOVE IT. Such a big upgrade from my 95 240sx. Been a while since I shot and even longer since I posted. Rip me a new one. STi was easiest to light, but I needed to close up on the aperture a little more it seems. My car came out ok, I liked the shadows. The evo just sucked.

    equipment used - 5d2, 85mm 1.8, cybersyncs, 430ex, 550ex, vivitar 285

Nice pics. Your car would look sick lowered on coilovers. Any plans on modding it?

i think youre getting different temps from the vivitars and speedlites. also whats your setup on the m3? should light it just fine with 3 flashes.

vivitar was only used in the car. Mrtwo what do you mean whats my setup? Setup as in the car or setup as in light placement?

Car is stock until its paid off, I hope. I just want to get some coilovers and swaybars, new wheels(eventually), and other little things.

i feel like the cars could have been lit a lot better with three lights.

some of the crops are off (disproportionate and too close)
I keep waiting for the rest of the picture to load in the first shot. I'm expecting more of the front end.

I like how you got creative with the lighting inside the cars. You just need more light.

    My fav is #6.

#4 would be perfect had you had more subject lighting.

Overall, really nice attempts, just need more lighting.

    .

i would've bypassed lighting the interior and focused on lighting the exterior. one thing that could be done is using a tripod and making a composite photo, using multiple exposures on the exterior for more even lighting.
