um, no. South Africa charges approximately $750 per month for a un-metered 1.5Mbps DSL line.

Now now, it's not PC to call it the Third World anymore, you're suppose to refer to them as Developing Countries :mamoru:

My god damned sociology teacher says that to me daily.

But fuck living in a 3rd world country, unless I automatically get to become some wealthy war lord.

As much as I love firearms I love my fast internet connection more.

Not that I'd sacrifice the former for the latter by any great degree.

Yeah if I had cash it might not be so bad. One of my coworkers is Nigerian he showed me pics of his house back home it wasn't the mud hut I was expecting, pretty nice actually. Still don't think I'd want to live there vacation house would be cool.

I'm with Squid on this one, living there would probably suck unless you had a lot of money.

I've been to and lived shortly in a 3rd world country. Trust me, I love guns, but I don't love them that much. It's far easier to just make a good enough living that you could acquire any handgun or rifle you desire here.

I think it should be mandatory that all Americans live abroad, because as fucked up'd as we sometimes like to think of America, I guaran' fuckin' tee you, Most will come back here and kiss US soil.

I've seen some fucked up shit over there. My family owns an importing business here and my mother travels abroad frequently.

My "Third World Development" class was changed to "Global Inequality" because of the PCness of it all

The only thing I really learned from that class is that the 2nd world was Communist countries.

I lived in South Africa.. and its harder to get a legal gun there than you imagine..also no full auto.. no hollow points and you need a lic for each gun before you can buy it.. so it takes a long time. Also limits on quantity owned and I hear they are interviewing your neighbors before issuing these days..

When I asked about guns my nigerian co worker says not legal there but pretty easy to get, and if you have to shoot a burglar you dont call the cops there just make them disappear yourself :noes:

Getting the superaids would be my main worry.
